Ken Hallenbeck was the Executive Director of Becas Matanchen for many years. He lived in Playa Los Cocos, Nayarit full time for nine years. He was originally from the San Francisco Bay area of California where he worked as an engineer for over 25 years. He became involved in the program because he strongly supported the opportunity for deserving young students to continue their education after graduation from High School. Sadly, Ken passed way recently after a short illness. His guidance, hard work, and dedication to the students of the program will be greatly missed.
